PLASTRUCT'S

SHOWCASE
"HALL of FAME"

We thought it would be fun and informative to share with you some models that are being built by our various customers using assorted PLASTRUCT products. With many of you sending in photos of your finished projects, we decided to start a page to showcase these wonderful models. So, we invite you to continue sending in pictures of the models you've made using PLASTRUCT materials. We plan on "Showcasing" a couple of projects each month. All customers are welcome, from the professional modelmaker to the architect to the hobbyist. We have found that whether you are a pro or scratchbuilder, the models are sensational pieces of work and we would like to show off as wide a selection as possible. If you are interested in having your creative work displayed for all the web to see, kindly send us pictures of your model (email is preferred, but photos by mail are also welcome). Please provide some descriptional information about your model, a general list of Plastruct products used, along with your name and email address or phone number, so we can give the proper credits.

For our maiden Showcase Model, we have chosen a spectacular model made by Spencer Smith of Spencer Presentations, Upland, CA (909) 949-4041. This spacious Hawaiian Beach House is a scale representation of a 25,000 sq. ft. private residence located on Mauna Loa Bay in Hawaii complete with it's own private boat dock. The actual house is known as the "Boat House," designed by architect Jim Langenheim.

This ocean view of the house shows the Boat docked right up to the back entrance. Talk about convenience.

Here we have an angled view. The sharp reflection of the house in the water is a great effect. And just check out that landscaping!

A straight shot in from the "ocean" shows the boat's gated entrance to the house.

This wide angle over-view shows the roof garden terrace, pool in the back as well as a gazebo. You can also see the circular driveway with several vehicles parked there.

This shot is for those of you who just could not believe this was a model. It sure fooled us at first. You can clearly see in the front and right side of this photo the table base on which the model sits. Remarkable!

Our thanks to Spencer Smith for sending us these great photos to "Kick Off" our Showcase page. Tune in next month for another series of "Showcase" models. It might even be yours!
